After graduation, she has worked on a variety of cases including orthopedics, neurological issues, autoimmune disease, digestive problems and mental health issues. For most of the cases, she treats with unique palpation based Japanese style acupuncture. This style of treatment is to prioritize the cause (background) of the symptoms to work on rather than the patient's main complaint. She believes that no matter what your primary concern or where your pain location is, all the symptoms present in your body could be connected and affect each other, thus treating the whole body is crucial. Along with the acupuncture, she uses cupping and moxa (heating therapy) to achieve the best results. Yoko is originally from Japan and fluent in English and Japanese.
